Live with Angela Durrant
29th September, 9am-3pm UK
This is for you if you avoid sales conversations, feel that you let yourself down when stating your price, handling objections or creating enough value that people are ready to say YES. This is also for you if you are sending off quotes and proposals and simply hearing nothing back or worse being told you are too expensive.[/ld_section_title]
“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”

This is for you if you are a coach, consultant or a creative brand and are fed up being seen as a commodity when you have so many skills that are involved in the work and people don’t seem to realise just how much goes into what you do.
This is also for you if you are avoiding setting up sales conversations all together and imagining creating a funnel is easier as it’s all passive income and you never have to speak to people to ask for the business… it will be just like 1-click right? (well perhaps at some point but maybe not right now).
This will also be of great help to you if you don’t see the value of your work yet and worry you can’t charge what others are charging, even though you do the same thing.
What if you weren’t afraid of the “NO” or the rejection? What if you could really get to the bottom of the excuses “I haven’t got the time to commit right now” or “I haven’t got the money”?
What if you could sift what’s really true when someone isn’t at the stage of buying from where you need to adjust how you conduct the conversation?

“If you can’t learn to sell organically, you’ll struggle to sell passively”
[/ld_testimonial]
You know you can help people and you want to make consistent sales and see your business grow, yet creating the conversations with people who are ready to invest isn’t happening enough.
There is nothing more demoralizing than to feel that you are not able to generate conversions from your networking or marketing efforts. You turn up, make your best efforts, even in those 1-2-1’s and yet many times it’s not leading to business or you are only getting the smaller bits of work and it feels like a constant hamster wheel.
Maybe you can’t make enough to give up the other work you want to let go of?
Maybe you are trying all of the courses that tell you to set up a funnel and all your wishes will come true?
The cost to all of this confusion is affecting your commitment to your business dreams and your own self confidence. After all, what SHOULD you be doing to bring in this steady stream of clients everyone tells you about?
Back up a minute….This is exactly the problem and a merry go round of thinking and worrying. The cost of not being able to get on a call with someone and have a cash generating conversion is greater than worrying right now if you are doing the right marketing or whether you should have a funnel or not.
The cost of not learning how to have conversations that convert will mean that you could be doing all of that marketing for nothing – like a hole in the bucket.
Generating traffic or leads , whether you do that with a funnel or networking or content marketing and then not being able to convert them into paying business is like turning on the tap and then allowing the water to run straight down the plug hole!
If you are a service based business owner you have to be discerning about who you work with and all higher ticket offerings will be sold in a conversation.
So it makes sense to be able to sell your services organically and especially higher ticket offerings with confidence, so that when you do add funnels, automation or any team you have a clear idea of how your customers respond, what their “buying pocket” is and how to answer the most common objections to working with you.
You can learn to sell with integrity
Over the years I have spent thousands on sales training and also been in many employed roles in sales. Some I really enjoyed and others I totally hated. When I look back on it all now, I realise there were some really simple solutions to understanding the sales process but it can get really cloudy with opinions about what is right and what isn’t.
Some of the things I was told I should be doing that didn’t work for me.
I tried scripts that people told me I should follow and I tried convincing people who I had never property qualified as ready to buy. I bought courses that told me how to set up systems so that selling would be easy and I got really worked up with every sales call in case I wasn’t doing it right.
I saw every “no” as a personal failure and it got to the point where I didn’t want to actually have a sales call – which is a huge problem when you are in business as a service based professional.
I even sold high ticket and got the “yes” – but some clients turned out to be an absolute nightmare situation both for them and me. I was desperately trying to prove that I was “worth” that amount. You can’t outrun what you are not convinced about or where you haven’t done some of the deeper personal grounding to become the leader in your business that you will be required to be.
When I look back at the big leaps in sales I had it all had to do with the experience that people were having of me, how comfortable I was with the results and the work I could do and the quality of the questions I was asking so that I could match the need of the person with the product or service I was providing.
People buy certainty so you have to be willing to lead the conversation.
Claire was struggling to get the business she really wanted to do off the ground. She wanted to help those in HR experiencing burn out, but she was stuck doing freelance HR jobs in her self employed consultancy. She had left corporate to create the time freedom and business she could really enjoy without losing her wellbeing again to pressures of the job.
Up to that point Claire had been in a senior position and the most obvious thing was to go into self employment selling the things she had done in her roles up to that point. Quickly though Claire discovered that she actually didn’t want to “do” HR anymore, but was really stuck in how to transition and sell what she really was passionate about.
I met Claire while networking. Claire had the look of someone who was watching webinars at 3am and sucking up as much info on what she “should” do as anyone could. Claire worked with me 1-2-1 before becoming a founding member of The Visible Club. We worked to really create the foundations and packages, speaking and message that would turn things around……but there was one immediate problem. Claire had never been in a sales role in her previous employment and she shuddered at the thought of it all. She did everything she could to avoid having calls.
It was a real stress for her until she understood how to begin having conversations in a way that gave her clarity of where people were, how to conduct the conversation and how to ask for business and handle everything that came next.
There is nothing that beats the smile of a person who has let go of all of their fear of selling and is seeing people say yes!
What if you could simplify the whole process?
From all of the sales roles that I have done over the years, through the things that were successful for me that resulted in sales conversations with the right type of client, I have distilled the process into 4 parts.
By looking at 4 areas of the sales conversation you can begin to see where you are now and what would help both you and the people you are talking to to come to a buying decision.
You will be able to see what is working and what isn’t and know which area to improve.
By focusing on your leadership in the conversation your confidence will increase and so will your conversions. You won’t feel salesy, or scared that you are doing it wrong either. You want to feel as if you can handle yourself in any sales situation and when you understand what creates certainty in the buyer you really can.

How will it work?
The day is split into 4 parts covering setting up sales conversations, making sure you are speaking to people who are not time wasters or brain pickers as well as knowing how to tell where the conversation is going from the start rather than get to the end and find a bunch of objections.
After lunch we will understand how to ask the right questions and how to present your offer in a way that feels easy for both of you as well as handle questions and objections that might surface that you didn’t foresee.

You will leave with a weight lifted off your shoulders as to how to conduct the conversations with authenticity and integrity without needing to chase people for weeks on end.
If you are ready to stop the cycle of disappointment then sign up today and take advantage of the early bird too.
This is a workshop price that is a 10th of what many sales courses are sold at. In the past I have paid 1000’s for a 12 week course on sales and maybe you have too.
So why am I creating a day workshop?
This isn’t designed to take the place of 1-2-1 coaching or a mastermind with accountability or a larger sales program.
It is however designed to fill in the gaps you may have and help you step into selling programs and offers without constantly discounting yourself or feeling the disappointment of getting to the end only to find the “No” waiting for you.
You may choose to go on to look at the sales process deeper after this workshop or you may find it clear up the cobwebs and you feel confident to take those selling steps on your own.
If you want to step into selling with confidence then join the Conversations that convert workshop.
